1 Don't use too much make-up, it may cause you to look fake or plastic. Use a gold toned powder everywhere, face, neck, chest etc. to reduce shine. subtle color is best for eyes, lips and cheeks. DO NOT use any glitter products, it will show up as white spots on your pictures. 2 Go to your hair stylists for a trial run about a week before your wedding. Be sure to include your veil or tiara. 3 Avoid wisps of hair hanging near your face. They can cast shadows and blow in front of your face. 4 Practice your smile in front of a mirror, you may feel silly while your doing it, but it will really help when the time comes. 5 Stay in the shade for pictures. Direct sunlight may cause you to squint your eyes and will cause harsh unflattering shadows on you face. 6 Always try to stand at an angle to the camera, you will look much better than if you stand straight on to it. Your photographer should know this, but now you know just in case. 7 Speaking of standing, wear comfortable shoes. After the ceremony feel free to change into some white sneakers, nobody will notice them under that big dress. You will be standing most of the day, those beautiful shoes you've been looking at were not made for comfort. 8 Choosing an even-tempered photographer with a calming personality will make you feel more relaxed for your pictures. The right photographer will also make sure that you have allowed enough time for your pictures. 9 Take your time while being photographed to make sure everything done right. You may be in a hurry to get back to the party, but an extra 10 or 15 minutes is a small price to pay to ensure that you are happy with these once-in-a-lifetime photos that you will be looking at for the rest of your life. 10 HAVE FUN! Don't stress over the little things. If you feel yourself getting stressed out take 15 seconds to close your eyes and take a deep breath to refresh yourself. And remember, this is your day enjoy it. |
