Great Smoky Mountains National Park Waterfall

Wedding ceremony at the Smoky Mountain waterfall

The reason we suggest this waterfall is because it is easily accessible on a flat trail just 3-4 minutes from the parking area.  Most of the other waterfalls in the Smoky Mountains require a hike of over a mile to get to.  You won’t find this waterfall on any trail  maps, but it has become quite a popular area for wedding ceremonies and pictures! It’s rushing waters and rich forest setting create the perfect romantic ambience for such a special occasion.  If it is your dream to be married by a mountain waterfall we can help make it happen. Spence Cabin on the Little River

Wedding at Spence Cabin

Spence Cabin wedding along the Little River in the Great Smoky Mountains

Away from the noisy streets of Gatlinburg,  in the Great Smoky Mountains,  you will find a secluded cottage in the woods where all you can hear are the rustling leaves and flowing water of a mountain stream.  This quaint cabin was built in 1928 as a vacation home and restored by the National Park Service in 2011.  The stone patio is an ideal setting for your wedding ceremony.  It is situated directly above the cascading waters of the Little River.  If it happens to rain you and your guests can duck into the cabin and hold your ceremony in front of the large fireplace.  Spence Cabin includes seating for up to 40 guests, restrooms and changing rooms.  Some special considerations to keep in mind; there is no air conditioning in the cabin and no cell phone service available.
