Your special day deserves something extraordinary. With our trained black bear as your ring bearer, your ceremony will be the most talked-about wedding in the Smokies. Whether you’re an adventurous couple or simply love the charm of the mountains, this service adds a unique, authentic touch to your elopement.


How it Works

  • Our expert trainers will guide the bear to present your wedding rings at the perfect moment.
  • The bear will be rewarded with a snack (don’t worry, not your wedding cake!).
  • A professional wildlife handler will be present at all times.
  • Guests will have the opportunity to take photos from a safe distance after the ceremony.


    • Important Disclaimer

    While our bears are trained, they are still wild animals. New Beginnings Photography cannot be held responsible for any unexpected bear behavior. All wedding participants and guests must sign a release form before the ceremony. Additionally, we ask that guests do not bring food, wear strong fragrances, or attempt to pet the bear.

    Additional Terms and Conditions

    By booking our Black Bear Ring Bearer service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • The bear’s participation is subject to its mood and cooperation on the day of the event.
  • The bear’s dietary preferences will take precedence over the wedding schedule.
  • New Beginnings Photography is not liable for lost rings, bear-related interruptions, or guests deciding to flee mid-ceremony.
  • In the unlikely event that the bear refuses to participate, no refunds will be issued (but you’ll still have an amazing story to tell!).
  • Guests who attempt to feed, pet, or otherwise provoke the bear will be asked to leave immediately (possibly by the bear itself).
  • We reserve the right to discontinue this service at any time due to regulatory changes, safety concerns, or the bear finding a better job offer.
